Well, here we are again. Welcoming new faces and reconnecting with familiar faces. The students are getting ready to start a new year (or the next year), and what better way to welcome everyone back by having a big horkin' YARD SALE??
Last month? That sale? Just an appetizer...
Those of you who know, know. Those who don't, should check it out. It's like a regular yard sale, on steroids... Even if you don't find anything you like, it is definitely a roadside attraction...
This year's items include (but are not limited to):
Furniture: A 42" square pub table with 4 chairs, a glass top dining table with 2 chairs, a 4' x 5' solid wood bookcase, 4 captain's chairs, 2 student desks, a writing desk, miscellaneous old chairs in varying states of need of repair, a drafting table, a bench seat...
Art supplies, office supplies (pens, pencils, markers...), linens, tablecloths, runners, handcrafted doilies... action figures (NIP and loose)...
Vintage glass sets, decanters, glassware, silverware, small appliances (toaster, coffeemaker, Cuisinart hand mixer, Cuisinart waffle maker, electric pan fryer)...
Lamps of all shapes and sizes, all in good working order, white dry erase board, DISHES DISHES DISHES!! Paper shredders, a 2 month old 5.8 GHz cordless phone, 2 George Foreman Grills, laundry baskets... faux floral arrangements and plants... Christmas ornaments and lights... Vintage Christmas ornaments (some from the 1930s and 40s)... magazine racks...
A queen sized bedding set (includes sheets, pillowcases, comforter, dust ruffle)... computer printers...
VINTAGE! Argus slide projector (works!), projector screen, Columbia Kilosphere record player, Admiral floor standing radio, blue and white ceramic pottery, old milk cans (some from local farms), Knowles and Aberdeen china sets, a Magnavox reel-to-reel tape player... six crates full of vinyl...
THE USUAL... books, Cds, VHS, DVDs, toys, clothes, jewelry...
The UNUSUAL... white or metallic mannequins... a very comfy, plush, leopard print "high heel" chair... a six light wood and brass wagon wheel hanging lamp...
A-A-A-N-D I'm still digging! Baked goods (you know those chocolate crinkle cookies that everyone LOVES? Yeah, those...), cold drinks, music, a friendly atmosphere, and some good deals will all be readily available!
Friday August 19th, and Saturday August 20th... 9a to 3p both days, or whenever people stop coming (last year we were out until 9p packing stuff up on Saturday, and people were still showing up to shop in the dark! Thanks @Joseph Gillam for the help!)
